About Whysk

Whysk decides what's for dinner.

Whysk is an iPhone app that suggests meals you can cook tonight from what's already in your fridge, freezer and pantry.

Deciding is the hard part.

Most nights there's food in the kitchen. What runs out is the energy to work out what to make with it.

Recipe sites start from a dish and send you shopping. Meal planners want your Sunday. Whysk starts from what you already have and gives you a few meals you can cook tonight. That's it.

Who it's for

People who cook at home and are tired of the nightly what's-for-dinner question. You don't need to be a good cook or a planner: recipes go one step at a time, timers included.

How Whysk uses AI

Whysk uses AI to see what's in your fridge from a photo, then finds meals you can make from a collection of human-approved recipes.

No recipe is made up while you use the app: each one is written ahead of time and approved by a person before it reaches Whysk.

What it does

  • Reads a photo of your fridge, freezer and shelves to see what you have
  • Shows 3 to 5 meals you can cook tonight from what you already have
  • Names the missing ingredient when a meal is one short
  • Swap meals by mood
  • Step-by-step cooking with timers
  • Keeps track of what you have as you cook and shop
  • Plans food that spoils first to be used first
  • Planned weeks with one shopping list (Whysk Pro)

What it costs

Scanning your kitchen and getting tonight's meals are free. Planned weeks are part of Whysk Pro, and your first 2 are free.

When you can get it

Coming soon to iPhone. It's iPhone only for now, with no Android version yet.

Whysk, not Whisk

Whysk, spelled with a y, is an independent iPhone app. It isn't related to Whisk, the recipe app now called Samsung Food.

You have food.
You need a plan.

Let's make the daily dinner question someone else's problem. Well, mostly ours.
